On the rollercoaster...

Wednesday, August 06, 2014

So, in the last four months, I have:
-Moved across the country from Virginia to California with just my dog, knowing nobody
-Started a brand-new job
-Purchased and moved into a new house
-Transferred my Jazzercise instructor certification to the new region and started teaching at the ungodly hour of 5:45 am

AND...

-I haven't touched SparkPeople in three months!
-I work with people who want to go out to lunch at least twice a week, and who are very bad influences on my dietary choices!
-I GAINED at least TEN POUNDS!

I know, everybody says that with all of these changes, it is hard to keep up with the weight control and the routine. I get that, and while I suppose it makes me feel better to not be alone in this, it doesn't change the fact that all of the hard work that I put into my health and weight loss over the last year and a half is being negated. I KNOW that I need to get back on track. I know that SP can help if I just stick with it. Today is Day 1 of a re-start, and I have done it before, but I don't feel confident in my willpower yet.

Help me start walking forward again - these steps back over the last few months are so frustrating.

Oh I just started again tracking my food and exercising. I have so much to lose. I can relate to your gain. It is such a struggle to get motivated to get fit again. We can do it. I am thinking 5 pound weight loss a month for the next 6 months would get me to a normal weight for my height.

Hope that you are doing well on your fitness journey.
