“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.” – Cesare Pavese
Travel forces out of our comfort zone--to see the new and different and experience the unknown.
My personal bucket list includes seeing all the National Parks and Europe. Any other travel is lagniappe. I lived in Panama for almost two years, but it is very Americanized, from having the Canal Zone. I learned to appreciate all we take for granted here.
