I feel lost and alone.

I have been getting really sick after only 30 minutes at the gym of cardio or lifting. I tried cardio only and it was still happening, I tried lifting only and it still happened... I tried changing my snacks before and after and still happening. I get to the point where I am sick to my stomach and light headed... and it lasts for HOURS. I thought it was a good thing to prove I was pushing myself... I was making changes and my body would get used to it. I thought I needed to up my pre workout snack and it would even out but it didn't change.... I have hit the point now where I cannot workout for more than 10 minutes or I feel like this for days.

I called the doctor and he said he could not tell me what's wrong without doing blood work and he does not have any appointments before I leave in 8 days for Vegas and the honeymoon. I cannot get in to see him but I cannot workout wither... What am I to do? Where does this leave me?

I feel lost... I feel alone.

    I'm a little late to seeing this but I would definitely call the doctor once you get back! I would have said try another doctor before but I think it's too late now since that was a week ago.

    How are you feeling now, any better? Did something happen or change that started causing it?

    Lastly, I think your wedding is this weekend? Since you said you leave in 8 days and that was last week Friday. Have a wonderful wedding in Vegas and honeymoon!

    That is certainly a change to take notice of and I'm glad you're paying attention to it - I hope you'll find another doctor or clinic that may be able to see you before you travel just to be safe. It could be just stress or it could be something else, but take some rest. Sue is right that exercise is only a part of the healthy life style. Eating well and resting when you need to are big parts too.

    I hope everything in these last days before the wedding and honeymoon go smoothly and happily for you emoticon

    Do you have an Immedicenter of a Medi-Quick or a CVS Minute Clinic or some other sort of walk in medical facility near you? GO TO IT. The first thing I thought of is your blood pressure, but it could be any number of things, and not to scare you, but some of them are life-threatening. This is important, and something you need to do before you fly. Please do this - many places are open on weekends.

    See another doctor? Maybe a sports medicine specialist? I don't know you, so please don't be offended...but could you be pregnant? Even if you saw a doctor right away the results of the blood test wouldn't come back until after you were gone. So just do what you can right now.
    You'll get this figured out. Even if you have to wait until after your wedding. You can still eat well in the mean time. You can still watch your portions, make your own meals, try new recipes, eat your veggies, and decide not to sit on the couch and watch tv while eating empty calories. Exercise is only part of a healthy lifestyle.

    Don't give up.

    Your health is first. If you feel sick while working out don't do it, or do it in short spouts, do not overwhelm yourself. Ten mins here and there might be better than just doing it all together. Keep eating right and wait until you see your doctor to do anything else. I hope you feel better and have fun on your trip!
