Summer 5% Challenge Team - I need your help!

I really have been slacking off this summer. I haven't lost any weight (even gained about 3 lbs), I am hardly exercising and the biggest thing of all for me - I'm not tracking my food! I don't know if it's the busyness of summer or being tired of tracking my food all the time or a combo or what. However, I do know I want to change and get back to losing weight! However, I can't seem to get going however good my intentions! So....I need some team members to check in on me and see if I have counted my food for the day or not! If I know someone will check in on me, I'm much more likely to do it!
Gotta go off to work but here's to day 1 (again) of tracking! Thanks for your help!

    I'm glad I'm not the only one who gained :( It's so hard sometimes. What I've found helps me is to make a list the night before. If I get up in the morning and scramble and don't know what I'll have for breakfast, I'll eat any and everything I can graze on. Then for lunch, I kind of throw something together but oh, it wasn't a REAL meal so I'll just have this quck snack, and this one, and same for dinner. If I sit down for 2 minutes before I go to bed and say "ok, tomorrow I will make scrambled eggs with ham, peppers and some onions and cheese in the morning," I get up with that in mind. For some reason I don't ever have the ability to think like that in the mornings though. My entire day goes smoother when I make a plan the night before. As for exercise, I haven't figured out that secret yet :(

    I did good....until I saw that Culver's had their short shakes on sale for $1 today and so I got some for the whole family. Ugh!

    So how are you doing today? I am trying to avoid added sugars. I did two good days then stumbled yesterday. Today I am on the road for work and I have avoided added sugar. I am worried about tomorrow since I have to make my food choices from whatever is offered at the conference meals. I brought a few things but they won't get me through without some conference food.

    I'm not on the 5% Challenge--but I will say to remember you are so worth the effort of getting healthier/leaner. One day at a time and if that won't work then one hour at a time. Good luck and keep us posted! emoticon emoticon
