Can self sabotage be good?

Sunday, July 20, 2014

First the bad:

I was doing really well until... We decided to go to City Market on Friday night. I knew I had a few calories left to use for the day and decided to have a razzberita, then another and as the story goes, next thing I knew we were at Carlyle's Brewing Company having a beer and appetizers. Then of course my little binge couldn't end there. I had pizza for dinner last night and... cookie pizza.

Then the good:
I knew I had not done well so I decided to go and walk last night. My husband joined me for a bit of it, then I was on my own. I usually don't make my fitness goals on the weekends but last night I made my fitbit step goal and stair climb goal while walking. (Who knew hills counted as stairs?) The timing of the evening walk was perfect. The sun was setting and I managed to get some good pictures with my phone. I really need to start bringing my camera with me for better quality but I am still happy with how they turned out.

What started out as a binge turned into a beautiful evening that helped to get me back on track!

Beautiful country!! south Florida doesn't have hills and lots of green trees. Winter is our flowering time.

Thank you for sharing your photos and your experience. It's nice to know I'm not the only one that does that!! emoticon

    Way to turn it around!

The temptation to say "I might as well go all out" is always there when we get off track, so it's really impressive to decide to counteract it instead.

The winner in you just jump out in your blog. You recognize the sabotage for what it was. You accepted yourself as you are. It is not a big deal to slip now and then. It is a big deal not to recognize why? You reached a major milestone in your journey to getting well. Know that you are well on your way now to reach your destination. Thanks for sharing and just keep on keeping on. You will reach your destination one day but know that the journey is slow and a life time one. And yes you are a true WINNER. emoticon
