8. I tried something new at camp this week

8. I tried something new at camp this week ------- instead of "new" it should be AGAIN.

I've given up the Diet Pop, snack chips..... AND I feel better. Whether it's the "placebo effect" or wishful thinking but I haven't had diet pop for 2 1/2 days and I FEEL like I FEEL better.

Everyone that has followed me knows I go back and forth with this "substance". I think as of today I truly know it's an ADDICTION. If it wasn't an addiction I would care less whether I have it or not.

Also today for the first time I got up and realized I'm READY to DO whatever it TAKES to lose the weight. This was a good sign for me. My Higher Power only talks to me in the shower. I really believe my Higher Power will assist me but not MAKE me do anything. And if I want .... truly want to be lighter and healthier ---- I BELIEVE that HP will assist me with that want/need/wish.

I went to the gym earlier than usual this morning. My meals are going well. I didn't feel like I wanted to "get" something else to eat ..... while I'm still eating what I had for lunch.

Does anyone else experience that phenomoni ? I have been eating breakfast and thinking --- I need to ordered another --- or I'll stop somewhere else and get something additional? It could just be me??

Today I will will live in this moment --- and enjoy this moment?

    emoticon I'll admit to thinking about what I'm going to eat next while I'm still eating the first thing. My thoughts can really lead me astray if I don't "Plan Ahead."

    I hope you have found some tasty and healthy substitutes for the diet soda!

    I get like that when it is time to cook especially if it has been a long day. I start thinking man I could really go for some chinese right now; only two things that stop me are 1. its not listed on my food chart and 2. I really can't afford enough chinese food for six people.

    As for the diet soda, emoticon keep going with it. I have not had any pop for two years now. Mostly because it makes my blood pressure rise, and I discovered those flavorings you put into water with 0 cals. So when ever you get an itch for some pop either 1. get some water with a squirt of flavor or 2. get a sparkling ice drink from wal-mart. Those things taste awesome especially the lemonades and they help you get your bubbly in.

    I can't say that I do because I do not eat fast food at all. I fix breakfast at home every morning even if it's just a bowl of cold cereal with fresh fruit and skim milk. I pack a healthy light lunch and most every night I prepare my dinner. I do all this just for me as I live alone and I am worth it !!!

    Here's a tip that works for me .... I drink a glass of water before I eat, it helps to fill me up and to get my daily water in.

    So good to here you are feeling the positive effects of no pop. Keep up the good work !!!

    Today I will will live in this moment --- and enjoy this moment!!!!"
