Plateau Busting?

After dropping 14 pounds, I stayed at exactly 229 or 230 for over a month. I have tried exercising more, and that did nothing. Then this week I just got exhausted. So, I decided to try to the other approach....stop exercising for a few days. Sleep more. Eat more. Especially eat more protein. And...fingers MIGHT be working. For the first time since around Memorial Day the scales showed me a different number this morning. Sounds silly to be excited at 228 instead of 229...but I am telling you I was starting to think the scaled had some gum or something that just stuck it at that number. I even tried a second scale to check! (Neurotic? Absolutely). Anyway....hoping it isn't 229 next time I weigh in. I am not giving up on exercise, but I am going to shift down a bit and do a few days of yoga and recumbent bikes instead of running to give the body a break. Fingers crossed......

    I know how you feel about looking at the same number for a month. I hope the new plan works. I'm thinking about eating more, too. But it's scary.
