Habits and Veggies

I haven't posted in a while but keeping busy. Has been a couple of rather productive months though. Okay, not quite on the reading front but in writing and editing I'm doing work. I finished the minor edit on the one novel, so just have one more general edit before I can submit to agents. Also working on the first draft of a different novel. I had 20,000 words already done from before, and last month I added 13,000 words. I have written 5,000 so far this month but hope to get up to 30,000 for the month and get closer to the end. Other than writing and work I'm working on developing better habits, which is why I'm posting this entry, as even though I haven't lost much weight over the last couple of months, I am starting to make better choices and hope that it shows eventually.
To reach my health goals, I've been working on developing better habits. A friend on a writing site found a different web site that helps make developing habits and getting things done into a game. It's called habitrpg and you can level up and get little coins and other fun things when you do your habits or checklists. It is fun.
On my habits list are things like: drink water, eat veggies, eat fruit, wash dishes, post blog entry, and more. On my daily list is writing and reading. Then I have several check lists like writing, finish a book, crafts I want to do, and specific rooms to clean.
I've been eating far more veggies and fruit than before. In fact, I went grocery shopping today as I'm a bit low on food. I bought mostly vegetables. Frozen broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, peas, and corn. Got broccoli florets to bake as well and a squash to try and cook in the slow cooker. I'm also liking the fruit/veggies juice smoothies like the ones from Naked company. I only drink half of one at a time cause calories and sugar from the fruits, but they are nice compared to soda and give a little variety beyond just drinking water all day long. I am drinking water though, a few bottles of water a day.
That is all. Trying to get better habits and eating more veggies. We will see how it goes.
