Thank you all

thanks for kind wishes. No, this time it was the opposite ankle, myright one, my driving foot... So, it's going to be quite a bit moreu get incapacitating than the last time. I got an appt. for 11:20 Weds. at the Ortho Clinic to get examined and a real cast. I can only assume it is a clean break, it was NOT a compound fracture and it is the exact same bone with same injury on the opposite ankle is what doc told me. You should the purple/black bruising on the knee, it doesn't hurt, well, actually what hurts the most is the calf muscle in the leg that's broken.

Yes, Bear, I thought of you when I was at hospital and told my neighbor that I had a friend that was amonth or so ahead of me with similar injuries. How'd it go with your apt anyway?
Did you get your cast revised?

This steno chair with wheels is a lifesaver....

Oh, you poor dear!! This is indeed a setback, but hopefully it will be a clean break & with a real cast, maybe you'll be able to get around better even if you can't drive very easily. Hope you're not in much pain!! emoticon

Apparently my diabetes is having a say in my health right now, as I am healing very slowly.
The doc had said they were taking the cast off and then decided on an xray first.

The xray was bad news fpr me as it made him decline to take the cast off.

    hope you have better luck
