Gaining Weight...

I am gaining weight. Currently, I am up around 10 pounds from my lowest weight. Most days, I weigh in between 125 and 127, where I was weighing in for the longest time between 117 and 120.

At my lowest weight, I bought this amazing dress from Victoria's Secret as a way to reward myself for getting into the "teens" - it was a size 4. When it arrived, I tired it on, and it was snug, but fit ok, and I decided to keep it. I hadn't even had the chance to wear it, and my weight started climbing. I was so sad because if it was snug at 117 pounds, at 127 I wouldn't be able to get it on...

Strange thing... the dress fits better now at 127 than it did at 117. My size 2 jeans are too loose in the waist... wait... WHAT?

At 117 pounds my waist was measuring about 31 inches... now at 127 it is measuring about 30... my calves are rock solid muscle, my thighs (except for that pesky loose skin on my inner thighs) are rock hard. My biceps, triceps, and shoulders are muscle... and if I didn't have all this loose skin on my stomach, I would be rocking a six pack!

Apparently, all this working out I do is leaning me out. I guess all of the PC Fit classes (PC Fit is a class offered by gym... best described as a boot camp, with elements of cross fit, P90X, functional training, cardio, TRX... it is a unique program) and x-biking (best described as spinning but the bikes have moving handlebars, and simulate an outdoor biking experience - more info - google x-biking) and yoga that I do is changing my body...

So, no I am not stressing about gaining weight... My clothes fit better than they ever have... I was told before but didn't believe it that at a certain point the scale is no longer a useful tool...

Oh, and you should see the muscles in my back when I push wight plates on the floor - quite impressive if I do say so...

    Courtney Lee! Wow! I needed to hear this today! I've been working out more too and starting to see the results, but I've been afraid that increasing to the calories that my body craves will lead to weight gain -- I know, I know, it's all in my head. I am going to use your success as my inspiration to keep pushing on!! Thank you for sharing!!

    Wow, you are doing so awesome! I can't imagine being so tiny! It's great to hear how well the exercise is working, too. Inspires me to hit the gym.
