Yesterday was my daughter's grad party. Everything went great! Had a really hectic but wonderful day.
We had the party at a local boat club on the Detroit River, so the view was just gorgeous.
Lots of family and friends were in attendance. I actually did really well over the weekend.
So over the past month I have gained 2 pounds. At one point I was up 9 pounds. At another point I was DOWN 2 pounds. So you can see how much my weight fluctuates on a weekly basis. I do have an issue with bloating and there are times when my stomach is just full and hard as a rock - and of course that is when I weigh several pounds heavier. So the gain of 2 pounds for the month that I have is not the most horrid thing I can imagine. I'm not going to freak out about it.
I started back today with tracking and measuring my food. No caloric beverages. Getting some movement in.
Tomorrow we will go to the beach and I always swim and do water aerobics for hours. I'm packing us some healthy sandwiches and bringing a veggie tray.
We have a ton of leftover food. Fried chicken, mostaccioli. cake, potatoes, rice :/ I sent food home with everyone! I just brought a huge platter of food to two different people. And there is more left. I am in no position financially to throw the food away - so I have looked up the calories and serving sizes and I will incorporate the food into my menu plan. The rice I am going to freeze in serving size bags. (Rice freezes very well actually!) The chicken will probably be eaten by my daughters, but I will freeze some of that as well. We are eating the mostaccioli tonight - but I am measuring. I'll make it work.
I need to move forward and not flit around a healthy lifestyle. I have to quit taking one step forward and two back.
My best friend (she lives in NH) was supposed to come out for Jennah's graduation. At the last minute she went to the ER for chest pain. She had an abnormal stress test so then she had an angiogram which showed a 98% blockage of an artery. She was in the hospital for three days and had a stent put in. She weighs a lot less than me, but she is still overweight. She is making lifestyle changes along with me. She plans to come out and do a 5K with my daughter and I at the end of summer or in the fall. Looking forward to making changes with her!
