I made it to Level 20! Yeah.... funny though, I haven't made my weight loss goal yet. These Spark points are nice, and they help me focus but I am not done. At one point I was down 30 pounds. Then I gained a bit back. I have a lot of work to do still.
I am doing it though. I had an injury last year that slowed me down, but I am better now, and I am in control. I am using my Fitbit that I got in March and I am still tracking, tracking, tracking.
I got a new doctor recently and assessed my medication etc, and did a physical. I mentioned numbers recently- I don't know what they all were but mostly good. I have to go back on Monday for a retest on some of it, and I won't be eligible to do my mammo until September, but I'm taking care of myself.
Recently I noticed myself reaching for the carbs quite a bit. I have to watch that. I did it last night at dinner. "Treating" myself to macaroni and cheese with a side salad. Hmm... is that a treat or a punishment? Wouldn't a better treat be something lower in fat and lower in salt?
I will keep trying though. The fact that I am aware of the choices I make is still something. 5 years ago I was not doing all of this. I didn't gain it overnight and I am not losing it overnight but I am not quitting either. Just need to keep on keepin' on.
