So I'm starting a candida cleanse today. This should be a way to not only clean out my digestive system but also help break my sugar addiction and hopefully feel better with more energy. From my research it doesn't sound like this is a fun process though. I'm starting out by removing all forms of sugar (including fruit and dairy products), processed foods, and any drinks other than water or herbal teas. There's a special drink that I mix up to add fiber and push all that junk out of me, plus another drink to help support my liver, and I'll be drinking aloe vera juice to help soothe my digestive tract and keep things flowing. Plus there are a couple of supplements to help fight the fungus, support my liver and help the detox process. Then of course probiotics to help rebuild up the good stuff in my gut. Seeing as serotonin is produced in your gut and your immune system is heavily dependent on the health as your gut I'm hoping this will help me to feel better emotionally and physically.
