Not a whole lot of excitement this week. I did go see the cardiologist though. I had a quick EKG taken which was a piece of cake. My blood pressure was higher than it has been in a month. It was 160/90 where it had been around 140/80. The cardiologist took my bp in my other arm only to find that it was 190/90 there.
That's no Bueno. She said that going forward I need to request the right arm for my bp whenever it's taken. She also said I could have a partial blockage somewhere that's accounting for the variance. I'm not getting the warm and fuzzies at this point.
She put me on some bp meds and said she wanted me back in a week or so to see how the meds are doing. She also scheduled an MRI for me to figure out what in the world is going on. This certainly isn't what I expected. I hoped for a quick, easy approval process.
This coming week I go to the pulmonologist on Thursday, I also scheduled my MRI for Thursday and on Friday I have my EGD. I'm taking both days off of work and hope that I keep from flipping my lid by the end of the week. Hoping it's nothing serious, but I don't know what else it can be. I'll find out soon enough.
