I've got a lot of ranting to do...

1) Why the hell do people worship Dr Oz and anything he has to say? I've been reading the news about how he's FINALLY being criticized for his "miracle drugs". Seriously, by now, everybody should know the key to weight loss. You have to eat well and exercise. You have to moderate the stuff you shove into your mouth. And since when does somebody think a celebrity doctor is somehow going to give you better advice than a doctor who you see and a regular basis, knows who you are and your current & past health advice? You want to lose weight, diet & exercise. END OF STORY. It's hard work, it sucks, but it's the way it works. You need medical advice on YOUR health? Talk to the doctor you should be seeing on a regular basis and knows about you. Not the celebrity who is out to prove something and collect a paycheck.

2) If you are in healthcare, and you're only doing it for the money, please leave the medical field now. I'm currently in my first job working with CNAs, and for the most part, I'm not impressed. When I was a CNA, we were the extension of our nurses. We saw every patient in our care every night/day. We changed the beds, fetched the water, and took the vitals. The nurses passed the meds, did their assessments, and did the charting. CNAs did what they could to make sure our patients were as happy and comfortable as we could. Some of the CNAs I'm working with have taken to "That's not my job..." or "I'm not gonna break my back doing this..." We're having a meeting sometime next week.... and I'm going to voice my concerns. BTW, the CNA who got a request from a patient for red jello and took the patient thickened water probably should have endured wrath...

3) We're looking at a house for rent. It's perfect for the three adults and three children who will be living there. I just spent $90 to cover all of our application fees for the house. We got approved Tuesday. Now, I said that if at all possible, I would like to get the deposit Friday so my $90 isn't wasted and somebody else gets our house. I knew one of the roommates could not get it in time, which I planned for. So I'm covered and he's covered. (But he's pissed cause he got confused about how much he actually has to pay by August...) My third roommate is perfectly capable of coming up with a plan to get her money. She told me that she doesn't have a lot of money (at the moment) and step-mom won't help her out. Then told me she was gonna contact agencies to help out with her end. As of right now, I've been watching her play on her laptop and play on her phone. With no attempts to call somebody and get this figured out.

So I'm annoyed because I'm gonna lose $90 and asked to borrow money from family, for nothing. Because by the time she gets hercrapt together, it'll be too late. And at that point, they will all pay me back for the deposit. I will give my dad back the money, and then I will be planning to move on my own. Cause relying on other people is causing me way too much grief.

For the love of God, don't say you're gonna do something, pretend you're excited, if you're not gonna do it.

I've always wondered about Dr. Oz. I don't like how he spends so much time on weight loss. Good luck with the house. I hope it works out!

It seems like you and your son should get your own place to live without depending on others. You don't need the extra stress that brings.

I so agree, legit Dr.'s should not be touting "miracle weight loss" products. I also feel your pain having to rely on roommates..... my son went through the whole thing several years ago and finally decided he'd rather stretch his wallet a little further than rely on other people. If you think it's bad now trying to get the place.....just wait. It doesn't get any better! Good luck! emoticon emoticon
