Half way through....

Thursday, June 19, 2014

Well my last blog was at the beginning of 2014 and I shared about having more joy than pain, continued sobriety and life. Last year was amazing when I went to Tupperware Jubilee, Saw my mom/sister in Ohio and seeing our son graduate and myself going through testing for having another heart surgery. Its half way through 2014 and...I haven't had to have another open heart surgery as of yet..but docs say at some point I will, I have a leaky valve that will need to be replaced so it's eminent...In the meantime, I'm a great caregiver for memory care residents, I have accomplished by the Grace of God being 7 years sober at the end of May, I have received 2 B's in my last semester of classes to be a social worker when I grow up, LOL. My husband and I have celebrated 24 years of marriage and have watched our oldest son in his scholarship journey move to Mississippi to work as a clinical psychologist, and our youngest start at a college university to get his H.S. Teacher/Education degree. I am so proud of myself and my family's accomplishments as my husband is the greatest man on earth being here as a great friend, father and man for all of us. I would truly say God is amazing and no matter what happens to our family, we stay on the positive side...perspective is everything in life. And God/Family are what keeps us full of life. One step leads to the next right thing...Go God!! Amen, Thank you for your prayers and keep making choices to live life to the fullest, after all we are the sum total of all of our choices, it's up to you!!
