Green Smoothie Review w/ recipes Day 3

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Let me start my saying that I was wrong. I never thought I would be able to drink my meals but this past week I have embraced Green Smoothies. I have been drinking them in the morning for breakfast emoticon

Here are the recipes I have done so far:
Basic Green Smoothie
1 cup baby spinach
1 frozen banana
1/2 mango
1/2 cup pineapple
Review- this smoothie was good for my first one and even got a thumbs up from my 11 year old emoticon

Banana Mango Madness
1 cup baby spinach
1 frozen banana
1 mango
Review- OMG this was so good. I only had one mango so I drank this one alone. My son wanted some so I let him sip it and he liked it. This is a keeper emoticon

Today I made
Swiss Almond Berries
1 cup swiss chard (I used baby spinach)
1 cup almond milk
1 1/2 cup berries (I used blueberries)
OK this was not sweet which I blame on the blueberries. This may have been better with a berry blend mix, plus I could not find swiss chard. I am not sure this was why we really did not like it that much. I added honey to my son's smoothie but he still did not like it. emoticon

Tomorrow we will be back at it again with Orange Collard Smoothie- keep your fingers crossed emoticon Plus I plan on posting pictures

Exercise today will include a 2 mile walk with baby today

I have not gotten into smoothies yes, but I do own a Jack Lalanne juicer but don't use it a much as I use to, I fing veggies and fruits get expensive when is comes to juicing. Keep it up and congratulations on you baby.
