Oops! The fitness blender eBook I bought does a great job explaining each workout on its own page but one thing it is lacking is it doesnt remind you when to rest. There is a calendar that shows what to do when but I was assuming when I turned the page to the next day it would have said "Rest". It didn't - so I accidentally skipped my rest day.
That would be all well and good except...
Tuesday night was a lower body workout.
Wednesday night was a full body workout with tons of emphasis on lower body.
Lunch time spin class / bootcamp at work was lower body (more about that at the end of blog)
And tonight was HIIT with a mix of upper and lower.
I pretty much have burned out my legs and whole bottom half. My left knee is killing and I couldn't finish the workout tonight. I finished 25 of 38 minutes and felt I was doing myself a disservice to continue.
So I learned my lesson - pay attention to when to rest and do it! Tomorrow night will be my rest as I get ready for a summer party we are having but I hope this knee feels better soon!
I promised I'd tell you about the lunch hour spin and bootcamp. I am blessed to work for a company that is super invested in our health and well being. They actually contracted with a mobile gym to bring spin bikes and instructors to do a 40 minute spin/boot camp twice a week right on site. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!
