Yesterday I called the ambulance billing department for my uncle's ambulance bill and was able to provide them with his secondary insurance information so his bill has been reduced to zero which is great! His only source of income is social security so those who know know just how little that is and how hard it is even to survive on it. I'm so glad I was able to get that billed squared away. The rehab facility gave me uncle a hair cut, shampooed his hair, and gave him a beard trim and charged him $34.00. My other uncle told me to let them send another bill so I wrote out a check for my sick uncle to sign so the bill can be paid. It's due by the 15th and late fees will start being tacked on at the end of the month. I'd rather it be paid in full now than to pay late fees that can be avoided. $34.00 for this whole ordeal is nothing and sure beats paying thousands of dollars. If it weren't for him having supplemental insurance he would be stuck paying thousands in bills. I'm just glad it's only $34.00.
I finished reading my library book I checked out last week. It's called Champion by Marie Lu and is the third and final book in her Legend Trilogy. It's a great series and is similar to the Hunger Games but slightly different. Apparently this book series is in the works for a movie deal so I'm excited to see how they do the movies for these books. Now to wait patiently for Divergent to come in so I can start reading that series since the first movie has already been released. I love to read and haven't been reading much lately since there has been so much going on. It's nice to curl up in bed with the blankets wrapped around me as I lay down reading and sipping on hot tea, coffee, or cocoa. Such a comfort and stress reliever.
So I ordered my boyfriend's anniversary/birthday gift early. I had to tell him what I was getting him because he needed to pick out certain things. I got him parts/pieces for him to build his own AR-15 rifle :) Some of the parts have come in already so he basically has the first half of the gun built and ready for the second half. He's happy as a clam! He's excited and happy to finally have an AR because he's been wanting one for a long time but couldn't afford it. It's our 5 year anniversary in August and a month later is his 31st first birthday so wanted to do something big and special since 5 years together is a long time. He asked what I wanted so I told him a weekend away at a bed and breakfast or something similar in wine country :) I get Living Social deals in my e-mail all the time so I can get some really great deals on a weekend away in August. I'm excited to pick a place! I've always wanted to go to a bed and breakfast type place and just relax.
