Too much excitement...

Sunday, June 08, 2014

After church today, my best friend invited me, my girls, and my grandson to go out to lunch with her... she suggested Cici's Pizza thinking that my grandson who is almost a year and a half would like it. Well, my daughter (the grandson's mom) is trying a gluten free diet to see if it relieves some headaches and pressure she has been dealing with. So, we went next door to the Hibachi Grill... we hadn't been in the restaurant a minute when a man ran in yelling "LOCK THESE DOORS, SOMEONE JUST SHOT TWO COPS IN CICI's" ...

A man and a woman walked into Cici's and just shot the officers. Then they said "Tell the police that the revolution has begun". They then went across the street to Wal-Mart and shot a bystander. When police entered the store, I guess there was some shots fired (everything is unconfirmed) then the woman shot herself and then shot the man... 5 people dead, and nobody knows why. We spent 3 hours in a lockdown until the police took contact info and let us leave. There was all kinds of police, including SWAT! What a crazy day! But thank God my daughter didn't want Pizza! We would have been walking into Cici's right as the shooting was going on.

Now I am sitting in my living room, quietly enjoying the safety of my own home!
