hi everyone. this is Siberian iris, "Ships are Sailing"--I love siberian iris. they are difficult to sell because they really pout when you pot them up or try to move them. refuse to bloom for at least a year. so my inventory of unsellables just lives here and makes me happy instead!
suuposed to start raining here--we need the moisture so that's a good thing. trying to decide if I want to take a chance running at the park--or do something else and run tomorrow instead.
had cali-pizzas last night--this is a really good, super quick recipe--its kind of a basic one--so you can adapt it however you want.
heat your oven to 400.
take a tortilla (flour tortilla if you are okay with the carbs--or whatever kind you normally use except for corn).
spritz it with a little cooking spray. lay it on a cookie sheet.
top it with some onion and pepper you have sautéed in a tad of oil--or even just a little water
then add sliced tomato, and anything else you like--say a couple kalamata olives or whatever.
top with reduced fat mozzarella--or feta, or fresh mozz. again--whatever works for you.
sprinkle with pizza seasoning of your choice
bake for 8-10 minutes.
super quick and simple--line the cookie sheet with foil if you want, and eliminate any cleanup to the cookie sheet.
a big green salad, and dinner is ready! last night I used big tortillas, because that is what I had laying around. an 8" one works perfectly well.
have a lovely Wednesday!

Your recipe sounds delicious. I think I will have to try it -- corn tortillas for my gluten free DH and we can both make our own. Yum!!

Pretty irises!! One of my favorite flowers.

What a yummy recipe!! Thanks for sharing - I will have to try it!

The Irises are beautiful! We are very fortunate to have a Iris Garden here in Montclair, the Presby Iris Gardens. I'm sure if you google it, it will come up. They are just stunning when they are in bloom!
