End of Week 2--Elimination Diet

I cannot believe I am able to stick with this.
That is the recurrent thought that keeps popping up regularly.
I would have SWORN that I was incapable of being on a diet and I certainly would have SWORN that I was incapable of limiting my food choices. I was CERTAIN that depriving myself of certain foods would make me want them that much more. And I was ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that I would last about 5 minutes on this plan.
Lucky for me, I am full of hooey.
It's the end of week two, and i still feel pretty darn great. I have had the verboten items twice--barbecue sauce on some pulled pork (because the hubs accidentally forgot to leave my bowl plain and mixed it all up together) and a tablespoon of feta cheese on my Greek shrimp salad for lunch, because it just didn't taste good without it, and I am not going to spend a half hour making a salad and have it not taste good. It needed that salty tang!
I know that I have to be careful like that, because if I start making exceptions, I will be right back where I started, walking around with the old feedbag strapped on. So that was it. The next week it stays on the righteous path, and, at that point, the doc says we can start to think about adding some of the foodstuffs back in.
Tomorrow is the WW weigh in, so we'll see what's happs with the scale. I do know that I am handling stress better, have more energy, and I'm not as bloated as I was. So I got that going for me.
