Wow, got more rain today, didn't get my outside walk, but did do my indoors video exercise, which, surprising to me, tired me out. I would never have believed it, I was ready to quit halfway through, but I DIDN'T! I decided no, I'm not stopping, I'm going to finish this, and I did. I'm actually proud of myself, plus I walked through the house for a few minutes more. I wanted to do the slower walk down, the video I did, didn't do the slow down, and I wanted to make sure I did that. I'm really happy I did, because I feel so much better.
Now I'm sitting here with a glass of cold water in front of me, and ready for the rest of the day. Now that I've done my exercises, the sun has come out, and it's humid as all get out. I put the hose in the pool (we're refilling it after a year without using it), and I'm really looking forward to being able to get back into it again. I've missed water walking, I used to do that nearly daily, when it was hot out, and loved it. I love getting in there and swimming, walking around the perimeter, getting the water going in one direction, then reversing directions, feeling that drag against my body. Our pool is an above ground pool, 28' around, and 6' deep in the center. I really love it and it's so nice to have when it's so hot outside, a way to exercise and stay cool while doing it. Plus, I can put the umbrellas up on the deck and sit out there just relaxing, put on some music, and read. My husband when he did the deck, put a bench type seat on it, which we bought cushions for, and it's just a great place to sit on a summer day. I have been tempted to buy one of those full deck covers but figure, no, the umbrellas are good enough.
