Bring on the June

Well, May really flew past me. I worked crazy-style so I could leave for vacation without leaving too much hanging at work. Nine days on a motorcycle, two days of laundry and then two days at a work seminar.
Next thing I know, it's June 1st! Where will I go from here?
I started the 30-day plank challenge today. I've worked my way up to a one-minute plank but then slacked off. So this challenge will get me back in gear.
I have two 5Ks coming up this month. This Saturday is a run benefitting a local zoo. Then the following week is the Warrior Dash with my kids. Besides the abs, I've been working on improving my upper body strength to be ready for the Dash.
I went running yesterday but kept it to only two miles since it was over 85 degrees, first time I ran in the heat this year. I soaked a bandana in water in the fridge for a while and tied it around my head. It gave me a nice breeze as I ran.
Okay sparkers, for many of us, summer is upon us. Let's own each day, get plenty of fresh air and keep moving.
