Wednesday May 28th was the first day of work's be healthy 100 day challenge. It is a Global Corporate Challenge that spans many companies across the world. There is over 300,000 participants from all over the world. Our site is sponsoring 10 teams of 7 participants each for a total of 70 participants out of 500 employees. We will be walking virtually around the world. Starting point in France. Each participant has the chance to win prizes along the way. We each were given 2 pedometers to track our steps. I will use my fitbit since I am used to wearing it and can download my steps from the computer.
The goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day. I can hit that easy so I set my goal for 12,250 steps each day. I also set a goal to lose 20lbs over the 100 days. This will get me back down to my weight when I quit smoking.
So here I go with my 6 teammates on a virtual walking tour as we support each other in getting healthy. The team I am on is a mixed group from departments all over the company. We have 2 packaging operators, 1 scientist, 1 DEA compliance person, 1 secretary, 1 mail clerk person, and myself who works in label issuance. The great thing about working for a pharmaceutical company is that they sponsor several challenges throughout the year promoting good healthy.
