Still Alive and Kickin'

Hey all!

So, it has been waaaaaay too long since I've posted. I apologize for that. It's not that I'm not around, and trust me when I say I am logging my food on SP daily still! It's just that I use tumblr now for most of my motivation. There is a whole following on there of fitblr/fitblogs full of motivational stories, pictures, workout ideas, etc. So I am on there a lot more than I am on SP now.

But I still LOVE SP, so don't worry!

I am also still making lots of progress. I guess when I did my last video blog I was about 218, now I am 202/201. Which is pretty exciting. I am just a couple pounds away from One-derland. I am ready to be there though. Also, my progress was stilted some this last 5-6 weeks, because I have been sick on and off. After 4 doctor's appts, we've finally figured it is most likely mono. Even though my mono test was negative, that is the best guess. So, I've really had to take it easy because I've felt awful, and then I didn't want to cause the issue to flare up again.

I am excited to say though, that I ran my last 5k in 36:58, which is very cool, seeing as how I was feeling only about 80% (and then two days later I had the mono symptoms hardcore again). I've gone through three sessions of the symptoms dying down, and then they flare up because we didn't realize it was mono, and I did something to exacerbate it, like run a 5k, or have friends in town and party for an entire weekend (my birthday weekend).

I am also in the Class 1 obestiy category now, which is pretty freaking cool, because I'm only like 25lbs away from overweight. Haha, to some that may not seem like much, but to me it is great. Especially knowing this time last year, my doctor put in my chart during my physical "severe obesity." I have my physical July 10th this year, so I am looking forward to seeing what all has improved. I know my blood pressure has tremendously.

I'm also now in size 14 clothes. Sure they are kind of tight, but they will fit great in no time. And then, I am 1 size away from AVERAGE! So, good things are happening.

Some days I feel great about my progress, other days I feel like I still have so far to go. Some days I feel sexy and confident, other days I feel like a whale and I hate it. But I am working on loving my body, treating it right, and feeding it well. The rest will take care of itself. I just have to accept the good days with that bad days, and never forget how far I have come.

I've updated some progress pictures in my gallery, so be sure to check them out!! :-)

I guess that is all for now. More later.

Spark on,
