And it continues . . . .

Sunday, May 25, 2014

Today is the 5th day in a row with rain, hail and tornado warnings. As far as I've heard no tornadoes touched down in Colorado, but it was intense. I did get out and mow the lawn and clean a bunch of weeds out of an elderly neighbor's garden before the weather turned. I also had to put together my new lawn mower before I could cut the grass and I was outside being busy for 5 hours. I covered the tomato and basil plants before the hail hit - again - and for now I still have the vegetable garden. This is getting annoying. I have pansies to plant and don't want to do that until I think the hail is done for at least a few days. Oh well - Mother nature doesn't do what I want.

Sorry about the crazy weather you guys are having. Although it's pretty typical to have crazy weather this time of year. Except that tornadoes aren't that common except out east. I remember planting some veggies near the end of May several times and hoping they wouldn't get pummeled by hail. Hoping the bad weather will end soon for you.

Hope the bad weather passes quickly without harm to anyone. YOU put together your lawn mower? You go, Girl!!! I'm impressed. Nothing like getting your exercise outside--be sure to log it into our race to Copenhagen. emoticon

The weather is definitely unpredictable. We've been lucky here so far, but we don't usually get the big storms until a little later in the summer. Today I'm just hoping the rain they're predicting actually happens.

I know this is crazy and they say more of the same tomorrow. I had to take pictures of the hail damage we got from the big storm the other day. Colorado Spring weather, got to love it.
