Hanging in

Saturday, May 24, 2014

I work 2 part time jobs. One job is boring but I love the people; the other job is more interesting but I can't stand most of the people. Today was my annoying people job. There's nothing like working 8 hours and having NO ONE talk to you. They talk to each other, but not to me. I try not to let it get to me but it makes me count the minutes until I'm out of there. I really can't stand my supervisor who has a stick so far up her you know what that she can barely crack a smile. I applied for a full time job in the office with the people that I really like; so hope I get that as it'll be more interesting and I'd love to not have to dread going to work. So happy to be home!

Oh UGHERS !! I just can't imagine even sticking that out, without finding another one similar to it,, with hopefully better people. I found from working for two diff places,,, that if someone leaves (I worked for the city) the next one "to come along" we simply called them "the fill in" for we knew we'd take it against them,, though it was Not their fault that we loved the person b4 them,,, they were unfortunately caught in a bad spot of "office politics" and there was nothing literally they could do,,, even if they bought us lunch everyday something would of been fault with. I tried my best to not fall into that,, and tried to make them feel welcomed, but it was to no avail,,, they'd end up quitting so then "the next person" they'd love again. So glad when I was hired it was simply to help with a new load of paper work (Accounting) that needed to be done, so I was automatically "the hero" and not "a replacement for someone they loved".

It's not ur fault hon. It just works this way in some places,,,, no matter what you try,,, it's not going to be good enough,, if the place where you love the work more,,, is like it when I worked with the "Babies" at city hall,, and we all know "you can't change city hall" !

Hmmm I than went into retail management,, and it was the same thing !!! maybe it's the area I live in. Our ancestors come from a puritan back ground,,, and they weren't the most friendliest to others,, and in this state that remains. For shame,, no wonder I love moving out to the other states. Our motto: Welcome to Maine, Vacation Land (now spend ur $$ and GO HOME:" !!)

Been there, done that, ooops I'm still there doing that. It's so frustrating! I'm looking forward to the possibility of changes which will allow me to work from home sometimes. I love the job, just hate the politics and the back stabbing.

Hope you get the position you really want.

emoticon It is always hard to work somewhere where no one talks to you and a job you don't like. Hopefully the other much more happy job for you, gives you full time. Good luck.

There is nothing worse than being stuck in a job with people who don't want to be around you or talk to you!! emoticon Hope the other job, going full time, will work out!
