Summer Break and a Vegetarian at the House!

The last few weeks of work are always the toughest. The pressure of getting things done by the last day of school always puts on the pressure and unfortunately spills over into my personal life causing me to lose focus....on me! So there went the consistent schedule of meals and exercise plans that kept my stress level low. Now I have to start up again. But I am not going to let that bring me down.

Time to focus on me. emoticon

My oldest daughter was working on a persuasive paper in English class a few weeks back. She was shown a video on farm changed her completely. She was so heartbroken. I think what affected her the most was the squealing of the baby pigs. She will only eat fish now. She still has to eat eggs and milk for now though. I am very proud of her in that she is not critizing others for eating meat....even at home with us. She believes that this is right for her.

It's been difficult to manage food at the house since my other daughter and husband are meat-eaters. I am willing to support my oldest daughter since she is making conscious decisions on what she is putting into her body. She is definitely on board with eating clean. (which makes this momma happy) I don't want her to go down the same path as I did with all these years of unhealthy eating. Hopefully my other daughter will jump on board as well with this clean eating.

So with that said....she will be cooking frequently and she is excited about that!

I am glad to finally be back on SP so that i can focus on me!

That is a good feeling when your child starts to eat clean. My oldest did the same a few years ago. She went vegan and just this last year is doing more vegetarian but she feels so much better and is quite the creative cook. Also like you said doesn't criticize others. Have a blessed weekend!!
