Spring term at Hogwarts has brought us a Culinary class!
I really enjoyed this class, it was a fun and easy way to learn about some new vegetables. Part of my problem with this is where I live. A small town with not a lot of different things:(
My goal for this class was to find a few vegetables that I could eat and enjoy.
Spaghetti Squash was my first are they ever hard to cut in two..DH had to help me:)
I followed my recipe to the letter and out of the oven came the squash...I used my fork to make the spaghetti strands. We tasted it, it was meh...just ok. I had a lot left over, so I found another recipe for the left overs. That was better, but I have not purchased another spaghetti squash.
My next victim was a butternut squash . I followed my recipe to the letter. Out of oven came this roasted veggie. We tasted and hey! we liked this one better.
I have made this recipe twice now!
My third victim was some sweet bell peppers . This time I used my broiler setting on my oven. Quick and really delicious.
So, I have discovered that I like butternut squash and baby bells-red, yellow
I need a better recipe for spaghetti squash, so if you have one let me know, K?
There are still some veggies that I have my sights on...
kale, asparagus
And lucky for me, we have another culinary class scheduled for KaMp MuGgLe

AWESOME blog!!!! The easiest wat to cook spaghetti squash is to poke holes in it with a fork & cook for 5 min on high in microwave oven then continue at 2 min intervals until fork goes in easy!!!! Scoop out squash, add butter & a little sugar & serve!!!! Easy Peasy!!!! I say YUCK to Kale, but asparagus is good!!!! My grandparents had an asparagus farm when I was little!!!! The area I live in was the asparagus capitol of the U.S. until the processing plants all shut down!!!! The Mississippi River Bottom soil is black & VERY fertile!!!! They grow alot of horseradish around here too!!!!
