VITAMIN C MAY SLOW DOWN THE APPARENCE OF AGING

Saturday, May 17, 2014

I've always heard that whatever we consume will show up in our complexion...I guess that statement is true. I was reading an article in the Fitness RX magazine last night regarding a diet in higher consumption of vitamin C and linoleic acid results in fewer wrinkles and better skin hydration according to the study published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. This did not include supplements however. They also reported that a high-fat, high-carb diet increased signs of skin aging. So to reap the benefits, they recommended eating a diet high in fruits and to get more of both vitamin C and linoleic acid eat more broccoli and kale.

I don't drink juice and I don't eat citrus because it hurts my teeth. I didn't realize that sweet potatoes are a good course of vitamin c. I love them so glad to hear that. I also love a lot of the other non-acidic foods on your list so that's good too!
