What I did right.....

I had a healthy breakfast and lunch.

I had my granddaughters after work until 9pm.

We had pizza for supper. I had one slice (honesty part - it was a large pizza so one slice probably is like two slices of a small pizza - but still that is huge for me). The remaining pizza went home with the girls.

We had ice cream treats for dessert - 90 calorie treats and I had ONE! The remaining treats went home with the girls.

I got over 10,000 steps in on my fitbit even though I didn't get out for my noontime walk.

I drank all my water.

OK so the thing that is eating at me? I was a slacker hit the snooze in the morning instead of getting up and on my treadmill. I could of had 2000-4000 MORE steps.

Let it go Barb, you had a good day - not a perfect day - but a good day. Yes, it was GOOD!

    I am working hard to let go of perfection and all or nothing thinking. You made great choices in an unusual situation with your granddaughters. Eating pizza and ice cream treats with your granddaughters is a normal life experience. You still got in your steps on the unusual day. You took time to look back at your choices and evaluate your actions. Yes, you could always do more. Is doing more the most important take away from an unusual day with your granddaughters? No it's not. No guilt. You did your journey work, assessed that work and evaluated your choices. No guilt needed.

    This is from my blog today.
    When the situation is partially in my control or unexpected, I am accountable to make the best choice I can. Plan ahead if possible, eat as healthy as I can, order a healthy meal where possible, exercise as consistently as possible. I am fully accountable to assess my choices and evaluate my actions. Was I making the best choice possible or using the situation as an excuse? I will use that information to learn from the experience but No guilt.
