I don't feel like watching what I eat, and I certainly don't feel like tracking it. I don't feel like exercising. I feel like there are better things I could do on the computer than to log in to SP. It's so easy to stay off the site and fall off the wagon, so to speak. But you know what? It's not about feelings, I'm here, I've tracked, and worked out and I have made a conscious decision to do it anyway!

    Good for you. Doing what you need to do even though you don't really want to. That's one of the hardest parts of this weight loss journey. We know what we need to do, but don't want to sometimes.

    emoticon You sound just like my favorite author Octavia Butler, "First forget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you're inspired or not.....Habit is persistence in practice." She was actually talking about writing, but when I read her quote, I realized that it applied to so many areas of our life, including weight loss. You may not always be inspired to track, exercise and log into SP, but you do it anyways. Persistence in practice= habit. Make your good health a habit by being persistent everyday. Inspiration may not be there everyday, but your persistence can be.

    PS- I just love that you are a writer like her. I hope you keep writing, and keep making healthy choices a habit!

    Very good! Your inner grownup is back in charge! That inner child is just so LAZY! Never wants to work at anything. And she pouts when you make her toe the line. You need to be firm and loving with her, but you have to track and make wise choices. Maybe you can promise her some dark chocolate at the end of the day if she's really, really good!
