What's that weird bony thing? Oh, a hip bone.

A funny thing happened on Saturday. I went to boot camp (a Saturday rarity) and there was a different instructor who had us doing different exercises. Not that there's any such thing as a normal class with Tom, but after awhile you get to know his moves. She has us doing back extensions, and while I've certainly done them before, I'd never done 300 of them before (2 exercises, three sets of 50 each). Two things occurred to me during this torture:

1. I honestly had no idea my back was that weak.
2. Those are hip bones I'm feeling on the floor! I really can't even remember the last time I felt my hip bones. Sure there's still a solid layer of fat there, but whoa! I can feel my hip bones again!

Now, that being said, the scale still hasn't moved. EFF YOU, SCALE. But you know what? If I can start feeling and seeing these kinds of differences, I will take them over a number on a scale any day.

And it's warming up this week so I'm going to wear my new SIZE TEN dress this week - maybe for my soon-to-be-former boss' farewell dinner on Thursday.
