This had to be a hard decision. I had to do this with my mother. However, I was blessed as you to have been close by.

    Blessings,

This happened to my Mom when she could no longer stay at home, even with home care and me helping her. It is sad, but for the best. I went to see her almost every day and she was so much more happy there as she had full time care. God will be looking over both him and you.

My heart goes out to you. I am glad you were able to find a place where your husband can be taken care of. This I am sure was very hard. I will keep you and yoru husband in my prayers.

Yes, there does come that time when you can't do it all yourself! May God be with you and your husband.

emoticon You "have no regrets", Sandra. You did all you possibly could, and now God has helped you to have your beloved husband nearby. May you be blessed as you adjust to this change of life event, and have many more years to be together. emoticon

Well you did the best you could. and it is nice that he is close. It is very hard to take care of someone you love when they have so many needs! you take care of yourself also, please. eva emoticon

Glad you were able to find a situation that allows you to visit often and continue to maintain a close relationship with him. I know how hard it must have been for you to make the final decision - it was really hard with my father - he didn't want to be there and was bedridden for over two years - not really sick, just bedridden. Much easier with my stepmother - because she CHOSE to stay when they told her she was terminal and she loved being treated as royalty because she went into the VA hospice unit.
