This morning was one of those classes where you don't realize how hard it is until it's too late. There were only 5 of us today, so we were on the TRX straps most of the time. Chest presses, chest flies, bicep curls, preacher curls, tricep kickbacks, rows, you name it. And when we weren't on the TRX, we were doing push ups, back extensions, mountain climbers, and planks.

Somewhere along the line I realized HOLY CRAP THIS IS HARD.

I can do cardio all day long. OK maybe not all day, but it's hard and then it's over. With this kind of stuff, it doesn't *seem* that bad … until you're sore for three days straight. Which I'm pretty sure means I need this way more. :) I need these classes. I need upper body strength, as I lack it almost entirely.

Anyway, I always stretch extra at the gym before I shower and go to work but today once I got there all I wanted to do was stretch and stretch and stretch and stretch some more. I spent quite a bit of quality time with the foam roller, plus regular lower and upper body stretches. It felt so good to just sprawl out on the ground and let some of the knots work themselves out.

Even now I'm finding myself at my desk doing more tricep/bicep/shoulder/back stretches as the day progresses.

I think it might be time to incorporate yoga in more regularly. I say that every once in awhile and it lasts a few weeks and then I get bored … maybe it's time to give it a real shot though.
