More Energy? Or Less? (Day 73 of 100)

Wednesday, May 07, 2014

I just finished my workout. I did 30 minutes of kettlebell & 20 minutes of HIIT with Fitness Blender & burned almost 400 calories.

I have been on this 'journey' almost 4 years. I have heard so many times that working out gives you more energy. But, so far, I find just the opposite! I'm worn out when I exercise! But, maybe 'they' mean overall? Yes, if I went on a vacation right now, I'd probably have more energy than 4 years ago. But, day to day? If I've worked out, then I'm tired!

Anyway, I'm happy to once again have finished my workout in the morning! Now, on to the rest of my day! Hope everyone has a happy, healthy day.

Day 73... WORKOUT COMPLETE!!

It depends on teh day and the work out for me. Sometimes I feel more energetic and other times I feel miserable. I think it has to do with how many calories you are eating too. If you eat too few, you won't feel energetic at all!

Crazy how that happens! I think a lot of times calorie restriction does more to deplete your energy levels. That along with intense exercise it not a good combo. Make sure you are eating enough.

Having said that, I am super proud of your streak. 73 days!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yes they do mean overall. But it also sounds like you are over training. Every workout should not be at 100% effort. You need a mix of hard ones that wear you out and easier ones that do leave you feeling energized. Are you allowing time for full recovery in between your hard workouts?

I hear ya...I work out just about every day and all I know is that by the end of the day I am WIPED OUT! hahaha

But yes, I guess I would say I have more overall energy. :-)
