I Ran

Sunday, May 04, 2014

On April 27th. In Vancouver. For the Vancouver Sun Run. 10k.

Well, I should say I walk-ran. Well, maybe I should say I shuffled. But I did do the course.

*And*. Get this: I bettered my last year's time by a few seconds! Go figure. This after the most erratic, on-again-off-again training period in the history of running, I'm sure.

So the course timer says I finished the 10k in 84 minutes--right in the middle of my age group and pace group. But *I* know I did better than that because *I* know I had to make a potty stop : )

What's the take-away? What *could* I have done if I'd trained faithfully??? What will I do at the YMCA Fall Run in Prince George when I've trained faithfully over the intervening months?

'Cause I *will* train. I like myself better when I'm training. It's as simple as that.

Love your question: What *could* I have done if I'd trained faithfully???

It's a fairly new question I've been asking myself now that I'm out there doing stuff.

Here's to throwing off limits and going for the gold!

    Good for you.
Hope your training over the summer goes well.
I love to run. I usually run by myself. Races give me motivation, keep me focused and give me a chance to socialize with fellow runners.
