On April 27th. In Vancouver. For the Vancouver Sun Run. 10k.

Well, I should say I walk-ran. Well, maybe I should say I shuffled. But I did do the course.

*And*. Get this: I bettered my last year's time by a few seconds! Go figure. This after the most erratic, on-again-off-again training period in the history of running, I'm sure.

So the course timer says I finished the 10k in 84 minutes--right in the middle of my age group and pace group. But *I* know I did better than that because *I* know I had to make a potty stop : )

What's the take-away? What *could* I have done if I'd trained faithfully??? What will I do at the YMCA Fall Run in Prince George when I've trained faithfully over the intervening months?

'Cause I *will* train. I like myself better when I'm training. It's as simple as that.

    It's a fairly new question I've been asking myself now that I'm out there doing stuff.

    Hope your training over the summer goes well.
    I love to run. I usually run by myself. Races give me motivation, keep me focused and give me a chance to socialize with fellow runners.
