Food Blog Days 3-5

So, I had the best intentions of blogging my trip to Boston for the Sox game. It didn't work out. For full disclosure, I will tell you I ate too much, drank too much and when my phone died before we even arrived at the hotel, it was easy to eat more knowing I couldn't take the pics.

Friday:
Breakfast: Dunkin Donuts medium iced mocha almond with skim, 3oz beef jerky (nice, huh?)
Lunch: A burger and a few fries (I actually didn't eat them all) at the Who's On First bar.
Dinner: Fenway Frank (I don't even eat hotdogs, but got caught up in the atmosphere) and a couple handfuls of popcorn

While this doesn't seem all that bad, it was topped off by somewhere between 7-10 beers throughout the day as well. I didn't log it when I came back out of sheer laziness (confessions, right?).

Saturday, I woke up with my first hangover in about 4 years. I wasn't sick, but tired as all heck and with a slight headache. I chugged a couple bottles of water and started the trek home. When I finally got home, I indulged in eggs with bacon and then met some friends out who wanted a play by play of my trip. This resulted in wings, sweet potato fries and more beer (which oddly enough made me feel better).

This morning I woke up with a determination to stop the madness. I went grocery shopping and stocked up on healthy eats. Came home and put the plan in action.

Breakfast:

Two egg/cheese omelet and three pieces of bacon (And then my daughter arrived home from her father's and proceeded to steal half of it all, lol)

Breakfast total: 183 calories, 1 carb, 12 fat, 13 protein

Lunch:

My kiddo got hungry running some errands, so we headed to Panera Bread. Half a roast beef asiago sandwich and turkey chili

Lunch total: 710 calories, 78 carbs, 22 fat, 39 protein

Snack: (no pic) handful of tootsie rolls (which is about the last of the Easter candy, thank heavens)
140 calories, 28 carbs, 3 fat, 0 protein

Dinner:

Steak and steamfresh bag of cheesy pasta/broccoli

Dinner total: 480 calories, 37 carbs, 19 fat, 39 protein

You can see that weekends are particularly tough for me. Boston made it even worse. Because of this, I'm going to try and continue the food blogs through next Sunday to remind myself that just because I don't have the structure of my office, doesn't mean I can go wild.

So that's the honest truth. All in all, I had more fun this weekend than I've had in awhile, so I don't really regret it. I will be back on track this week however.
