Another attempt to lose that 39 lbs

I've been back on SparkPeople for a couple weeks. I've been tracking my intake and exercise. I bought a new scales that keeps telling me I'm not losing. I've been faithful in entering my food and exercise but am still at the same weight. I have metabolic syndrome and have been reading about it and trying some tips. Today I started drinking 8 glasses of water. I drink a lot of tea and I thought I might be spending most of the day in the BR but not so far. I've also started to up the amount of weight training. My arms are sore but if this helps it will be worth it.

If anyone has any tips for me, please let me know.
