Getting fit in May with Jessica Smith

Friday, May 02, 2014

Last week I got a 'Get fit in May' workout plan from Jessica Smith and I was sooo excited. I already tried her Hourglass workout plan for some 10 days and I had to break the streak due to some problems at uni and finals.
So, I do know her plans are great and all. So, today I finished my Day-6 and tomorrow is stretching routine. It goes like this:

Day 1: Total Body in 10 emoticon
It's a great total body toner and believe me every muscle you have will ache.
Day 2: 30-Minute Power Interval Walk emoticon
It is a POWER walk and I felt like I had a great workout despite it being low impact which is good news for people who hate jumping.
Day 3: 40-Minute Superset Sculpt emoticon
This workout again focuses on strength training. And the 40 minutes are like a bomb leaving me sore at the end.
Day 4: 30-Minute Cardio Core Fusion Flow emoticon
This is a flowy workout just like the name says. I used some washcloths and all you will have to do is slide in various motions. It is amazing. Made me feel like a ballerina.
Day 5: 20-Minute Single Sided Strength emoticon
So another strength training that is not BLAH.
Day 6: 25-Minute Cardio Boot Camp Boogie emoticon
In her words: "Don't let the name scare you." It is a fun video and left me dripping after.
Day 7: 30-Minute Stretch, Rest and Relax emoticon
Yet to try.

The amazing thing about all these workouts is that they are free on her youtube channel which can be found at:

After doing these workouts for a week I have lost a pound but don't get me wrong because I had to attend a few dinners and ate some fatty foods which blew it. I am not gonna stop though. I will try all 31 workouts and have lots of fun. Hope you will give it a shot too.
