Yikes! Taking the Plunge!

Thursday, May 01, 2014

I've been thinking about getting Spin certified (to teach) for a while now. I really enjoy Spin, and it is a great workout. I do it about twice-three times a week, although I found I had to back off a bit and mix in running and other cardio to stop my thighs/hips from getting too big! I have a friend who teaches and she's been encouraging me to go for it. Well, my friend and I both teach English as a Second Language at a community college, and we organized a Spinathon to raise money for scholarships. After having such a great time, I decided to take the plunge once my teaching semester is over! Today I registered online for an all day Spin instructor training on May 17th! It's the day after a very long week of exam grading and graduation, but I'm just going to go for it! I will probably only want to teach one or two sessions a week, if I can even find a place to hire me, but I'm just psyched for the challenge of getting the certification. emoticon I'm very much into challenging myself these days, something I really didn't do pre-weight loss! Have a great day, everybody!
