Hump Day Progress!

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

So after I wrote my blog yesterday, I had some interesting things happen.
I was having some trouble getting motivated and it was nice out, so I went for a walk around the pond. I was stressed about money and trying to figure out what I could do to start working as soon as possible.
Then my phone rings. It's the temp agency. BMW Financial wants to interview me, am I free tomorrow (today)? I say yes. Then I get home from my walk and am working on some things and she calls again! The job I said I was interested in on Monday wants to interview me too! It's data entry for Lane Bryant, can they interview me Thursday? Yes!
So BMW had prep questions, which were the questions they actually asked me. My aunt is an HR pro and interviews people ALL the time. She spent an hour with me on the phone going through the questions and polishing my answers. She told me what to wear (not a skirt!) and a few points that are just good advice for interviews.
So of course I nailed it today! I'll have to wait a few days to see if they want me, but if they do, I start work (my three weeks of training) on the 13th. And that's fine because I have screening for potential jury duty on Monday, which could wreck plans next week.
With all this cleaning, I also gathered a bunch of stuff together and sold it to second hand shops today. I made enough back to buy my prescriptions today without using any cards. I'm very grateful for that because I don't know how I'm going to pay anything at all in May.
Off to bed with me now though, it's late!
