Didn't get on the scale but...

It is time for me to take my monthly measurements.

Since March 28, I have lost a total of 4.4 pounds and I also lost 2.25 inches overall. It's not fast but I just keep reminding myself, "slow and steady will win this race." emoticon

That philosophy has served me well in this go round on the weight loss journey. I have always been a pretty impatient person when it came to weight loss. I always, "want it gone NOW." But I am older and hopefully wiser and so I know my body will process as it needs to and there is not one thing I can do about it.

Of course, I could starve myself (NAH), or maybe become a super-exerciser (not gonna happen) and the weight and inches I lose would speed up. But the idea here is to work out a lifestyle that I will ACTUALLY sustain so neither of those options would work for me. I believe in moderation not starvation. As for exercise, I am still that person who needs to psyche herself up to even get in my daily walks...so super-exerciser, that would be a no. emoticon

I've decided to be happy with my downward progress and keep plugging. "As long as you are trying you will not fail." See you at next month's progress report.

    You are doing just fine...sometimes non-scale measurements demonstrate our success with weight loss & can be just as great motivators...Find an activity that you love & stick with it...CONSISTENCY is the best key we have...has worked great for me & hope it will for you...

    I do LOVE exercise...CARDIO being my fitness energy "drug of choice."
