Day 27 - Success and other fun stuff!

I did it! I got up this morning at 6ish and went for a walk! I am not a morning person and I had some weird dreams last night, but I still got up and went and on a Monday no less! I knew I just needed to do it and I'd be okay, but sometimes that is a hurdle that is hard to haul my butt over! As my jr. high math teacher always said, "its mind over matter. If you don't have a mind, it doesn't matter!" emoticon



So this is what I look like at about 7 a.m. after walking. Pretty scary! It definitely explains some of the looks I got while walking this morning! emoticon Now that I have done it once, it should be easier. I also want to get up just a touch earlier so I have time to do some pushups and planks each morning too. So far I am pretty awake and alert. We'll see what later today is like. emoticon Seeing as it is now pouring buckets of very cold rain now, I am even more happy that it wasn't even sprinkling when I was walking this morning. Singing and walking in the rain is only fun when the rain and weather are warm! emoticon

I also hit 30 lbs. lost this weekend! WOW! That feels so good. Still making small steps. Got into a pair of very small size 20 jeans.

I have 2 friends coming over on Wednesday to go "shopping" in my 24s and 22s before they go to Goodwill. They are also coming over to see the new digs, which I am excited about.

Mom and Dad were here this weekend and Dad helped me put up another kitchen shelf and a knife magnet. My kitchen is really getting there. Photos soon!

I have to admit that I am too used to water exercise. I am a little stiff right now from walking. I know that will get better as I do it more and that was the point of adding these early morning excursions. I thought this a few of you might be able to relate to this too!
