Rainy dreary day

Monday, April 28, 2014

Saturday we bit the bullet and told Scott's dad about the pg. He was excited I knew he would be. I just didn't wanna tell family early incase anything went wrong then they told the rest of the family and then we had to untell everyone. We are meeting Scott's mom tonight to talk to her. I am sure she is suspected something, meeting us on a Monday night is not really something we do unless it's a birthday. She is the one we are dreading the most. I am sure she will be happy. Scott is just generally pretty scared/nervous around her. My mom on the other hand has known since I was 4 weeks. approaching 12 weeks, seems like his mom should know.

Saturday I went with Scott to a Mudrun 5k. I do not think I would ever do one of these things! It seems like a 5k for ppl who don't really like running and would rather be tortured in other ways instead. He did it with coworkers, I doubt he would do another alone. The end of it included a huge dug out puddle full of muddy water and handing cords above that shocked u as if you were touching an electrical fence. Of course the females who did it were smart enough to crawl thru the mud. The men walked thru and got shocked cuz well that's just the difference between men and woman lol

I think I might hit up goodwill today for some clothes. I noticed how tight my bathing suit was in water aerobics the other night around my abdomen. I freaking hate tankini's yes they are cute but do they actually serve any purpose in the water, hell no! The fly up when doing any aerobic activity in the pool. I would prefer a one piece any day. I am gonna be in trouble for a lot of my clothes. Since I have lost weight I tend to buy clothes as small as I can. Stupid idea, considering they are not gonna stretch. Oh well goodwill has a whole maternity section and Monday is the best day to go when all new sale color starts. I could use some jeans too, some of my jeans have already been left in the dust. Raining all day, good day to stay inside and catch up on house work. Then tomorrow back to the grind.

We told my mom first too and I think that is kind of natural to me. We told my dad later and Benny's parent's last. I'm sure everyone will be thrilled.

The mud run sounds horrible. I would hate to be shocked or have to crawl through the mud. It looked so gross and is seems weird.

I am so glad we have a Goodwill here. It is not as nice as the one in other places I've been like Marion and Fairview Heights but saves a lot of money.

I LOVE Goodwill! The ones in my area don't do the sale color tags though! I wish they did I miss searching for the right color stuff. Good luck with the clothes search :)

Make sure you get stuff that you can "grow into" now. :)

Have you heard of "belly bands"? They are how I stayed in some of my clothes longer.

Elastic waists! Probably could get stuff inexpensively from places like KMart if you don't find what you want at Goodwill. (And they always have cute baby clothes, I buy baby gifts there all the time. Look for the sale items!)

For years, my swimsuits were just leotards from Danskins. Really. The surplice wrap is the perfect swimsuit. Cheaper than swimsuits, too!

Good luck with the parent meetings!
