Eating on the run

Saturday, April 26, 2014

After a busy day and being tired from it then wanting to go home and cook is non existed. No way man all I want to do is get something fast go home and rest. The route I take home does not have many healthy fast food restaurants and even so I am not really sure how healthy it really is. So the one thing I need to learn to do is portion control whatever I am eating and remember super sized is not the way to go. The saying your eyes are bigger than your stomach is so true. I eat then I am miserable from eating all that and then I defiantly do not want to exercise. So keeping healthy quick fix meals at home on those days would be the better choice. And fix meals for several days freeze them and woo hoo meals are are in just a few minutes. Sounds like a plan and a good one at that.

I have a "go to" meal for those days. It is lean roast beef (thin sliced) on reduced fat wheat bread with fresh spinach added instead of lettuce. My sides are celery stalks, raw carrots, and either brocolli, cauliflower, small tomatoes. emoticon

The Spark tracker will allow you to eat what you please but the calories add up quicker with fast foods. I just grab a salad mix, peanuts and fruit and I am set. You can buy tuna, turkey and lots of other items to make a quick and healthy meal in a rush! emoticon
