Goal Setting

I'm having trouble with weight loss... and muscle loss due to inactivity! I have a sit on my butt job now and it's running me ragged. So here I am taking a moment to try to regroup as my 2 kids play with daddy.

My current weight is 235.

Next goal weight: 225 (Goal Date 6/1/2014)
2nd goal weight: 215 (Goal Date 7/1/2014)
3rd goal weight: 205 (Goal Date 8/1/2014)
4th goal weight: 200 (Goal Date 9/1/2014)
5th goal weight: 195 (Goal Date 9/14/2014)

It's been so long since I even imagined weighing under 200 pounds. I almost forgot that I even care. But I do! :-)

So now I have it written down. Amen.

    You can do it! Keep with it!
    I also have a sit all day job. Something I found that helps a little (not a ton, but a little). Every time you get up to use the restroom do some sort of exercise while in the bathroom. For example: Use the wall and do wall push ups - 3 sets of 15. Next time do more pushups but change the position of your hands. Or use the wall and do a wall squat against it, hold for 30 sec, repeat. Use the wall as a balance and do leg lifts, etc. I know it sounds silly at first, and really depends on how the bathroom is layed out (stalls, etc) but you will be surprised how often you use the bathroom and can get a little extra in each day... emoticon .

    I know exactly what you mean about almost forgetting what it was like being under 200. I watched one of the featured videos today (the one about the "fat girl dancing") and - while it was inspirational in general - I was really struck by one comment in particular. The girl had gained 100 lbs in a year because of a physical problem. She said she eventually gave up and "started living like a fat person". I hadn't even realized that fat people live differently. That was a real eye-opener. So I'm with you - heck yes I care about being under 200 lbs. And now I'm going to really start exploring how to live like a skinny person. Good luck in your journey!
