Cycling Trainer Workout (Day 58 of 100)

I started the day with Jillian Michael's "Ripped" video. It is intense and follows a 3-2-1 pattern. You do 3 minutes of strength; two minutes of cardio; and one minute of abs. You do a total of 4 rounds. I've done the video 4 or 5 times over the past year or so and find it hard, but actually not that enjoyable. I thought I'd try it again today. I still don't really enjoy it, but it was a great workout.

Then, this afternoon, I toted my trainer out into the backyard again and 'rode'! I put "80's Cardio" on Pandora (what I usually work out with!) and used my iPad to watch the time. I found a workout online and modified it. Here's what I did...

5 minute warm up
1 minute 'fast'
1 minute easy
Repeat for total of 5 rounds
1 minute hard gear
1 minute easy
Repeat for total of 5 rounds
5 minute cool down

So, all together it was a 30 minute workout and I burned almost 250 calories. It was a TOUGH workout, but I really was proud of myself for completing it!
