Blowing In The Wind

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Everything is blowing in the wind here. It's blowing so hard the trees in the parking lot look like they'll fall over. The wind has also kicked up the dust...since Vegas is in the middle of the desert. It's going to be FUN driving home from work today! emoticon

So yesterday was super busy for me. Getting projects as close to done as I can and just working my cute butt off (oh were that true...that setting at my desk working so hard would reduce my butt! emoticon ). I was so pooped last night I did nothing after dinner but read a book (on my Kindle app). So I had to do last night's dinner dishes this morning before work. Not huge task as I made left over corn chowder for dinner. Hubby was in need of some comfort food. He's either got the sniffles or all the wind/dust has kicked up his sinuses. emoticon

Speaking of my Kindle app...I'm going to need to find some more e books to load up on it. I'll have to look for free ones as my payday is still a few days away. But that's OK..you can get some really good free books on Amazon. I've been into paranormal romances lately..nothing like hottie vamp, shapeshifter, alien, demon, etc. emoticon They are fast reads, which works out well when working out in the gym at work!

I'm up in the weight dept after the weekend. You all know weekends are my weak spot. emoticon So it's like starting all over every Monday...reminds me a bit of Groundhog Day. emoticon

But I'm still hitting the gym at work and doing an hour 5 days a week. This month I've done all treadmill for a challenge at work. Next month I'll go back to alternating between the treadmill and the elliptical. Home works are very hit and miss right now. emoticon

Something that I talked to my Dr about and didn't mention here yet was drinking flavored water. We have been drinking Propel water for a long time now. I started (just recently) to wonder if the problems I have at home with eating might have something to do with the artificially sweeteners in the water. I mean it seemed that when drinking it, it made me want to eat. This could be true for the weekend eating too. The only place I don't drink Propel water is at work. There I drink tea and plain water. So I decide to switch to just plain bottled water. And since I was going to see my Dr anyway...I asked her what she thought. She so totally agrees with me. Said that she too had noticed flavored water seemed to have that effect and she had switched to plain water too (of course she's expecting...so that makes since.) I'm going to see if it makes a difference at home. emoticon

OK...I can't think of anything else right now...so have a great rest of your Tuesday. And those in the Vegas area..hold on to something!

Groundhog Day! I love it! I can so identify with that. LOLOL the wind's been awful here today, too. Supposed to have thunderstorms by 9:00, but 9:00 has come and gone. It's raining, however. Is it headed your way? How's things going with C's new job? Hugs, Calen~
